US Presidential Election 2024: Trump raises more funds than Biden; raises $331 million in a quarter
US Presidential Election involves large amounts of finance for the candidates. The donors play a key role here. It has been reported that Donald Trump has raised $331 million in the second quarter of this year. This has left him with more money than Joe Biden. The latter’s lackluster performance in the first US Presidential Debate has renewed calls from various quarters to replace him. He is set to receive the official nomination from the Democratic party. This increased fund raising by Trump has only added to the anxiety of the Democrats who are now seriously considering to replace Biden on the ballot box.
Trump leads in terms of funds:
The Republican party has surged past the Democrats in terms of receiving donations for the upcoming presidential polls. The amount raised by them has surpassed the amount collected by Biden which is a total of $264 million during the same period. The Republicans also pointed out that they have $285 million which is cash in hand while the Democrats have only $240 million.

Trump outraised Biden in the months of April and May for the first time. Trump’s conviction in the hush money case proved to be a trigger for many of the donors who donated to Trump.
Biden on the other hand is reported to have raised large amounts during his fund-raising events in Los Angeles and New York.
