According to the 'Miami Herald', it is not a new problem for the party as US President Joe Biden too faced the problem of diminishing support among Hispanic voters, much before he announced to step aside. The onus to win back this big chunk of potential voters is on the vice president if she is nominated for the November polls.

According to the 'Miami Herald', earlier in July, Bendixen & Amandi International, held a survey that found both Biden and Harris scoring just 42% support among Hispanics nationally. It is almost the same as Donald Trump who got 41% Hispanic votes. It is a matter of concern for the Democrats as Biden and Harris got 65% Hispanic votes in the 2020 presidential election. according to exit polling from Edison Research.
A separate opinion poll, organized by Quinnipiac University found that Harris and Trump got 39% each in a multi-candidate field that also included third-party and independent hopefuls, like Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
