But a White Republican candidate must raise this question about the presumptive Democrat candidate just before the US Presidential Election 2024. However, the question of Black identity took a new twist when some Black male voters in Pennsylvania said that they didn’t consider the vice president to be Black before Trump's comments.
According to Fox News, CNN host Michael Smerconish shared a clip of local CBS news affiliate reporter Joel D. Smith talking to a group of Black men at a barbershop last week. When Smith asked them «Is Kamala gonna make you a little more likely or less likely to vote Democrat?» The Black man replied, «I’m gonna let her speak on that, but to me, no.» Another potential Black voter said he shared the same view. Someone else said she heard that Kamala Harris was not a Black woman. He reiterated that he heard she was half Black and half Asian.
