Hill was reportedly pulled over for speeding, which led to a verbal altercation with the police. A video posted by ESPN on X (formerly Twitter) shows Hill lying face-down on the ground, with officers placing him in handcuffs. While Hill was not arrested, he was cited for reckless driving. In a statement, the Miami Dolphins confirmed that Hill safely arrived at the stadium: «This morning, WR Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident about one block from the stadium and briefly detained by police. He has since been released. Several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support.
