Air Canada Boeing carrying 400 passengers suddenly started emitting flames immediately after take-off from Toronto on Wednesday. It was en route to Paris. A video showing the terror was uploaded on social media, reports 'New York Post'. Confirming the incident, Air Canada said in a statement that the plane developed an unspecified “engine issue”. However, it turned around quickly and made an emergency landing back at the Toronto airport, fire crews attended the plane. Air Canada claims that no one has been injured.

It said in a statement, «After the aircraft landed, it was inspected by airport response vehicles as per normal operating processes, and it taxied to the gate on its own.» The passengers were rebooked onto another flight and the plane was taken out of service for evaluation by its maintenance staff and engineers.

Aviation industry experts have said that the incident occurred due to the issue of a «compressor stall», but the airline has not yet confirmed it. According to RadarBox data, the aircraft's return to service depends on the extent of the damage caused by the compressor stall.
