Rampur heads for elections in absence of 'charismatic' Azam Khan
Azam Khan, a Samajwadi Party leader who has been removed from the fray because of his imprisonment. After almost five decades, Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in the complete absence of Rampur's 'Khan,' who held the sway over its voters all these years. Famous for its cultural and historical heritage, Rampur was the political stronghold of the Nawabs in the early decades after Independence. After that, the political rise of Azam Khan in the 80s eclipsed all his rivals ever since. Delhi Water Crisis: War of letters between Lt Governor and AAP Minister over water shortage
Arvind Kejriwal, in jail in connection with the liquor policy case, on Tuesday alleging AAP minister Atishi was using the death of a woman in a fight over fetching water for «narrow political goals». Atishi dismissed the charge in a letter addressed to the Lt Governor and termed his missive «unfortunate» and «may be intended for optics». Saxena's letter was in response to a letter by Atishi wherein she sought suspension of the CEO of Delhi Jal Board over the murder case. «It has become habitual on the part of your ministers to blame officers for their own fault,» he wrote, stressing he had to write the open letter as «direct communication with you in present circumstances is not possible». He also accused the AAP government of deceiving the people by «creating a chimera of free water». «Instead of fixing the iniquitous water supply, you and your ministers created a chimera of free water. Deception of people has been mastered into an art form by you and your minister,» he said.

It's a delightful surprise for all of us,» Ayan Jain told PTI. Ayan Jain also said that if he gets a chance he would give Madhya Pradesh as his primary preference." Opting for mathematics as his optional subject, Ayan Jain clinched the 16th rank in his third attempt.

Boardroom Leela: Why are ITC and Hotel Leela at loggerheads?
ITC Ltd, has claimed «oppression» at the hands of the promoters of Hotel Leelaventure Limited (HLV) which runs hotels in India under the Leela brand. ITC says being a minority shareholder its interests are being ignored by HLV. The battle between the two has been raging for the last five years and, of course, HLV has contested claims made by ITC which holds a 7.92% stake in HLV. Since 2008, ITC has been buying shares of HLV from the open market through Russell Credit, its investment arm. In March 2017, after part of HLV's debt was converted into equity, ITC’s shareholding in the hotels chain had dropped from 11.8% to the current level of 7.92%. At that time, JM Financial ARC had converted Rs 275 crore debt into 26% equity in Hotel Leela. How it all began In January 2019, debt-laden HLV Limited went into insolvency under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). HLV had announced in March 2019 that the company's hotel business together with all the assets and liabilities of hotels located in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Udaipur were being acquired by Brookfield on a slump sale basis for ?3,950 crore.
