Here’s how Elon Musk pledges $2 trillion tax savings if Trump is elected as US President
Elon Musk made bold claims regarding potential federal budget cuts under a Trump-led administration. Addressing a crowd of supporters, Musk asserted that he could reduce the federal budget by at least $2 trillion if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential election. He criticized current government spending and positioned himself as an advocate for fiscal efficiency. “Your money is being wasted,” Musk declared, adding that he would work to “get the government off your back and out of your pocketbook, as quoted in a report by The Crypto Times.

US Elections 2024: One week before polls, betting odds reveal where Trump and Harris stand
Donald Trump delivered a speech at a Turning Point Action rally, focusing on tax cuts and taking aim at Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign. Trump described Harris’s campaign as «imploding,» citing what he claims to be his substantial lead in key battleground states. The speech not only rallied his supporters but also coincided with shifts in the presidential betting odds, reflecting changing perceptions among voters. «She's actually imploding, if you take a look. Because, look, I'm not supposed to say it, but we are leading by so much,» Trump remarked to an enthusiastic audience, as per a report by USA Today.

US election results: Is Donald Trump fearing defeat against Kamala Harris?
The Republican ex-president, who is in a dead heat with Democrat Kamala Harris in the race for the White House, has never acknowledged the legitimacy of his election defeats — from the 2016 Iowa primary to his presidential contest in 2020. His denialism deeply polarized the country last time around, and his continued attempts to sow distrust in US democracy have sparked fears of a repeat of the violence seen during the 2021 storming of the US Capitol.

Why is Elon Musk endorsing Donald Trump? Here's the reason
Donald Trump has the backing of world's richest person- Elon Musk. Musk has gone all in for Trump. His pro-Trump America PAC has already spent $118 million and has the budget to spend tens of millions more, almost all of that coming from Musk himself. Republican nominee Trump has described Musk an «once-in-a-generation industry leader, and our broken federal bureaucracy could certainly benefit from his ideas and efficiency», according to Newsweek. But this mutual respect and admiration between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has not always prevailed. Once a supporter of Democratic candidates such as Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton, how did Elon Musk begin championing conservative causes? ALSO READ: Donald Trump winning US elections? Donald Trump winning US elections? Famed polling guru Nate Silver's 'gut' prediction
Nate Silver in an op-ed for the New York Times wrote that his «gut says» that former US President Donald Trump will win the November 5 election, while warning that polling data indicate the race could still go either way. «But don't trust anyone's gut, even mine,» he wrote in a New York Times op-ed. His current model gives Trump, the Republican nominee, a 53.1 per cent chance of a second term in the White House. Nate Silver's model currently rates the Republican nominee with a 53.1 percent chance of becoming the 47th president of the United States. “In an election where the seven battleground states are all polling within a percentage point or two, 50-50 is the only responsible forecast," he wrote in his forecast. «So OK, I'll tell you. My gut says Donald Trump. And my guess is that it is true for many anxious Democrats,» Nate wrote. «But I don’t think you should put any value whatsoever on anyone’s gut — including mine. Instead, you should resign yourself to the fact that a 50-50 forecast really does mean 50-50. And you should be open to the possibility that those forecasts are wrong, and that could be the case equally in the direction of Trump or Harris.»

Global economy chiefs fret over a Trump return as US election draws closer
h debt and escalating wars topped the official agenda at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings, but finance leaders spent much of their energy worrying about the potential impacts of a return of Donald Trump to power in November's U.S. presidential election. Republican candidate Trump's gains in recent polls to erase much of the early advantage of his Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, was part of nearly every conversation among finance officials, central bankers and civil society groups attending the meetings in Washington this past week. Among concerns were Trump's potential to upend the global finance system with massive tariff increases, trillions of dollars more in debt issuance and a reversal of work to fight climate change in favor of more fossil fuel energy production.

US election 2024: Donald Trump to be jailed after November 5 polls results?
Trump's four criminal cases are quietly chugging along in court even as his race against Vice President Kamala Harris dominates the news. Important legal battles continue to be fought, and motions to be filed. Even now, Trump's lawyers are preparing for him to be sentenced — possibly to jail time — on his one conviction so far at a hearing in New York City scheduled for three weeks after Election Day, NYT Service reported. Trump has told people close to him that if he wins the election, the legal cases would simply «go away.» On Thursday, he said he would fire Jack Smith, the special counsel who filed two federal cases against him, «within two seconds» if he regains the White House. «I don't think they'll impeach me if I fire Jack Smith,» Trump, who was impeached twice by the House of Representatives, told radio host Hugh Hewitt.

Kamala Harris stays quiet on student loans as cancellation loses its political luster
Joe Biden told a Wisconsin crowd about his latest «life-changing» plan for student loan cancellation, promising financial relief for more than 30 million Americans. But Kamala Harris has steered clear of the issue at her political events since replacing Biden as the Democratic nominee for president. The vice president's platform mentions it just twice, and with no specific plan. As she courts moderate voters, Harris has focused on policies targeting Americans without a college degree. «For far too long, our nation has encouraged only one path to success: a four-year college degree,» Harris said in September in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. «Our nation needs to recognize the value of other paths.»

Who is Tommy Robinson? Anti-Islam leader arrested amid London unrest, supporters rally with MAGA slogans!
Tommy Robinson, a prominent figure in the UK's far-right movement, is at the center of escalating tensions in London following his recent arrest for contempt of court. Over the weekend, thousands gathered to support Robinson, demanding his release during a rally called “Unite the Kingdom.” This event underscores Robinson's influence within Britain's far-right circles, particularly concerning immigration and nationalism. Robinson, born Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is the founder of the English Defence League (EDL), a nationalist and anti-Islamist group known for its confrontational stance. The protests attracted many participants who carried British and English flags and displayed signs with slogans like “Make America Great Again,” a phrase popularized by former US President Donald Trump. Trump, who is currently seeking another term in the US elections, is noted for his strong anti-immigration policies. The march was not without opposition; a counter-demonstration led by Stand Up to Racism was held nearby, where supporters advocated for welcoming refugees and denounced Robinson’s influence. This juxtaposition of rallies highlighted the deep divisions within British society. The protests included a separate demonstration by families mourning loved ones lost in police custody, who stood in solidarity with anti-racism campaigners by holding signs denouncing hatred and fascism.

Does Kamala Harris's viral McDonald's photo validate her claims? Here's what the internet says
Kamala Harris in a blue dress at McDonald's has sparked controversy, with MAGA supporters claiming it is a manipulated photo shared mainly by pro-Harris accounts on X. They allege that the image was altered from a picture of McDonald's staff, putting Harris's face onto it. This incident has brought the spotlight on Harris's claimed employment at McDonald's, which has become a contentious issue between Republicans and Democrats. Former President Donald Trump has asserted that Harris lied about her work experience at the fast-food chain 41 years ago. Last Sunday, in a provocative move, Trump worked a shift at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, stating that he worked «15 minutes more» than Harris, who he contends has no record of employment there.
