Nuvama Institutional Equities has initiated coverage on Waaree Energies with a ‘buy’ rating and a target price of Rs 2,805 per share, implying an upside of 25% from current levels, citing the renewable energy firm’s aggressive capacity expansion and strategic backward integration plans that position it to capture multi-decadal growth in India’s renewable energy and green hydrogen sectors. The brokerage said it expects Waaree’s revenue and EBITDA to grow at a compounded annual rate of 30% and 54%, respectively, over FY24–27, driven by a strong order book, capacity ramp-up, and margin expansion. «Waaree is prudently executing a long-term strategy of becoming a horizontally and vertically integrated New Energy play,» Nuvama said in a report.

IndusInd Bank has not sought any fresh capital from its promoters even though it suffered a huge loss in its net worth following an accounting discrepancy, IIHL chairman Ashok Hinduja said on Tuesday. IIHL, the investment arm of Hinduja Group, has recently got RBI's in-principle approval to raise its stake in IndusInd Bank from 16 per cent to 26 per cent. According to Hinduja, IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL) — the Mauritius-based promoters of the private sector lender — has committed to infuse capital into the bank in case there is a requirement. However, the bank has not sought any fresh infusion as the overall capital adequacy is at a comfortable level of over 15 per cent, he told reporters on the sideline of an event.

GST registrations have faced confusion regarding the process for distributing common input tax credits (ITC) availed on services to lower net GST liability. While some entities have opted for the input service distributor (ISD) mechanism to allocate common ITC to their other GST registrations (under the same PAN), others have chosen the cross-charge method. In July 2023, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) clarified that the ISD mechanism is not mandatory for distributing common ITC availed from third parties to other GST registrations. As a result, businesses had the flexibility to choose between the ISD mechanism and the cross-charge method. However, this arrangement will change starting April 1, 2025.
