At least 15 people lost their lives and around 60 others were injured when a goods train collided with the Sealdah-bound Kanchanjunga Express near Rangapani station in West Bengal on Monday. Rescue operations are in progress at the site, located about 30 km from North Bengal's New Jalpaiguri station, with the injured being transported to nearby hospitals. A senior police officer informed PTI, «At least 15 people have died in the accident till now and 60 suffered injuries.» Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw earlier commented on X, «Unfortunate accident in NFR zone. Gujar is believed to have connections with gangsters Goldy Brar, Vivek Bhaiya, Rohit, and Jitin, who issued death threats to the ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ star. The video content was transcribed by the police officials. Bharat Biotech's indigenous rotavirus vaccine Rotovac used in the government's immunisation programme increases the risk of intussusception in infants, a new study found. Intussusception is a condition where the intestine telescopes into itself and can lead to gangrene of the bowel or death if not treated immediately. The study has been published in the International Journal of Risk and Safety in Medicine. Bharat Biotech has dismissed the findings claiming the vaccine has been evaluated for safety.
