NITES is an organisation working for the welfare, and rights of IT, BPO and KPO professionals in India. “We have filed a formal complaint against Infosys Limited for the ongoing exploitation and unprofessional treatment of over 2,000 young engineering graduates who were selected for System Engineer (SE) and Digital Specialist Engineer (DSE) roles during the 2022-23 recruitment drive,” Harpreet Singh Saluja, president, NITES, said in a statement.

Infosys has launched a ‘power programme’ for colleges with differential hiring, offering packages of up to Rs 9 lakh per annum, two people aware of the development told ET. This is substantially higher than the entry-level fresher pay packages of Rs 3-3.5 lakh offered by the Bengaluru-based company. “The focus of these categories of hiring is on coding and software challenges, programming skill testing and other specialised skill tests for both tests and interviews,” one of the sources said. “For Infosys, these pay packages offered are between Rs 4-6.5 lakh and Rs 9 lakh.”

Therefore, there is a clear distinction in the operational and technical and nature of OTT service providers and TSPs,” said the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) in its counter comments to the consultation paper, adding that OTT services do not fall within the scope of the telecom act.

Other established micro VC firms include Vaibhav Domkundwar's Better Capital, deeptech-focused firm Java Capital, Delhi-based Sauce VC, which makes consumer sector investments, and $25 million enterprise software-focused Neon Fund.
