UPS NIFTY SENSEX Vodafone index Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.32% in an upbeat market

Samvardhana Motherson International(down 0.42 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.26 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.12 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.11 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.32 per cent at 15477.45 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 11.15 points at 19404.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 24.47 points at 65240.56. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Trident Ltd, Zomato, Reliance Power and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of NBI Industrial, Hindprakash Industri, Yuken India, Dredging Corp and Vascon Engineer hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Jio Financial Servic, ABM International L, Allcargo Terminals, VELS Film Internatio and Lloyds Metals hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red. UPS Vodafone show performer Telecom sector AGR up 2.53% on-qtr in Q4FY23, Jio gains maximum revenue: Trai
Latest telco performance data put out by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Monday showed that Reliance Jio notched up the highest sequential AGR gain in the quarter ending March, ahead of Bharti Airtel, while loss-making Vodafone Idea(Vi) reported a fall. Jio’s quarterly AGR, or revenue from licensed services, grew 1.7% sequentially to Rs 22,985 crore in the January-March period, while Airtel’s rose 1.15% on-quarter to Rs 18,500 crore.

NEW DELHI : Telecom service providers will pursue resolutions and reforms aimed at reducing sector-related litigation, totalling over ₹76,780 crore, arising from tax disputes and legacy matters, top executives said. Vodafone Idea Ltd chief executive Akshaya Moondra said in an earnings call with investors last week that a structural change was needed to prevent avoidable litigation.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) fell over 3% to Rs 8 in Wednesday's trade on BSE after the telecom operator reported a loss of Rs 7,840 crore for the quarter ended June 2023, which is higher than Rs 7,297 crore reported in the year-ago quarter and Rs 6,419 crore in the preceding March quarter. However, its revenue from operations rose by a marginal 2% to Rs 10,655 crore in the first quarter, compared with Rs 10,410 crore in the same quarter of last year. ARPU for the first quarter came in at Rs 139 as against Rs 135 in the previous quarter, showing a sequential growth of 2.9%.
