Delhi court on Tuesday framed charges of sexual harassment, intimidation and outraging the modesty of women against ex-Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and six-time Lok Sabha MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in a criminal case filed by female wrestlers. Singh pleaded not guilty to the charges and claimed trial. «Why will I plead guilty when I am not guilty?» Singh told Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Priyanka Rajpoot. JK Tyre & Industries on Tuesday said its consolidated net profit increased 54 per cent to Rs 172 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024, on account of higher sales. The tyre maker had reported a net profit of Rs 112 crore in the year-ago period. Total income rose to Rs 3,714 crore for the fourth quarter as compared with Rs 3,645 crore in the year-ago period, JK Tyre said in a statement.

Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd (BHEL) on Tuesday reported an over 25 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 489.62 crore in the March quarter, mainly due to higher expenses. Its consolidated net profit stood at Rs 658.02 crore in the quarter ended on March 31, 2023, according to a regulatory filing. Total expenses of the firm rose to Rs 7,794.11 crore in the quarter from Rs 7,411.64 crore in the same period a year ago.

Vedanta Ltd in April informed the BSE about the temporary suspension of mining operations at the iron ore mine due to non-compliance with the approved mining plan. «The Office of the Regional Controller of Mines, vide order dated May 21, 2024, has revoked the earlier order of suspension of mining operations under Rule 11(2) of the Mineral Conservation and Development Rules, 2017 in respect of our A. Narrain Iron Ore Mine,» the company said in a filing to the BSE. The suspension in mining operations was ordered by the Office of Regional Controller of Mines in Bengaluru.

Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner A Ravi Shankar noted that these trafficked Indians caused large scale riots in Jinbei and Compound, Sihanoukvile in Cambodia, which is allegedly a hub for cyber crime. «Many people called up Visakha city police whatsapp numbers and sent videos. Man Industries (India) Ltd on Tuesday said it has bagged new orders worth Rs 505 crore from an international company. The order is for the supply of various types of pipes, the company said in a BSE filing. «The company has received new export orders of approximately Rs 505 crore,» it said. The total unexecuted order book of the company as of today stands at approximately Rs 2,100 crore which would be executed in the next six to eight months, according to the filing.
