The latest update about the Curiosity rover of NASA states that the space agency has shared few insights regarding the challenges that Curiosity has experienced during its mission on Mars.

The harsh conditions of the red planet, which feature its rocky landscapes and abrasive dust, have taken a toll on the rover’s mobility. The Curiosity rover of NASA has recently faced a wheel check as it finished 4,315th sol on the surface of the red planet. NASA has stated in a blog post that it performs this evaluation to see whether curiosity is functioning well on the harsh surface of Mars or not, as reported by the Jalopnik.
The engineers can track the condition of the wheel of the Curiosity rover as the cameras are pointed down towards it. The Curiosity rover uses its six wheels to move across the red planet. As per the reports of CNET, although the wheels have just covered 20 miles, the wheels are reflecting the signs of significant wear. The Curiosity Rover's wheels have developed a few holes in them.
