Dying Light: The Beast is set in the post-apocalyptic Castor Woods, a once-popular tourist destination. Players will take on the role of Kyle Crane, who was thought to have met his end in the DLC, The Following. The game’s synopsis on Steam describes it as a thrilling standalone adventure. After enduring 13 years of experiments, Crane escapes and hunts down his captors to seek retribution. However, he soon discovers that there is much more at stake.
Roger Craig Smith, known for his roles as Ezio in Assassin’s Creed and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, will return to voice Kyle Crane. As of now, no other cast members have been confirmed for the game.
Dying Light: The Beast will feature the franchise’s signature parkour movement, allowing players to navigate the world with agility. The trailer showcases the game’s brutal combat, which remains a key feature of the series. Players can expect a less conventional combat system, emphasizing hand-to-hand combat, influenced by Crane’s animalistic side. This combat will be crucial in dealing with both undead and human enemies.
