Football Manager 2025 cancelled after multiple delays, developers now focused on FM26
Sports Interactive (SI) has announced that makers have now shifted their focus to FM26 instead of FM25. The FM26 will be released in November. An apology was issued to fans by SI, a subsidiary of the gaming company Sega after making the “difficult decision” to cancel the game because of multiple technical glitches.

According to a statement by SI, fans have been eagerly awaiting the first gameplay reveal, and this will come as a huge disappointment, especially given that the release date has already been moved twice.
According to the makers of the game, they have decided to make the «biggest technical and visual advancement» in the series specifically for this generation. However, that seems to be a tough task and has proved impossible.

The makers as cited by The Guardian said, “While many areas of the game have hit our targets, the overarching player experience and interface is not where we need it to be. We could have pressed on, released FM25 in its current state, and fixed things down the line – but that’s not the right thing to do."
