Samir Paranjpe, who was the forensics leader and partner at Grant Thornton Bharathas moved to PwCas partner, people familiar with the matter told ET.
PwC and Paranjpe declined to comment on queries sent by ET.

Grant Thornton Bharat's forensic investigation into IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited revealed a wide range of activities bordering on fraud, manipulation and misappropriation.
Grant Thornton Bharat was also appointed as forensics auditor in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, and was asked by the apex court to assess the irregularities of Unitech Limitedunder Paranjpe's leadership. As per media reports, in March 2021, Grant Thornton Bharat identified a fraud of Rs 1424 crore in DHFL in its role as forensics auditor.
As per his LinkedIn profile, Paranje has nearly two decades of experience in the risk management and advisory space spanning the entire financial services landscape-from banking to insurance to capital market entities to PE/VC players. An IIM alumnus, he has also worked for companies such as Deloitte and KPMG prior to Grant Thorton Bharat.
