US citizens are preparing to leave their country and are acquiring dual citizenship and buying off shore properties, ahead of the US Presidential Election in November. There is an increasing trend among those who can afford to move out expressing their willingness to leave the US. This has been prompted by a political culture that threatens violence and revenge against opponents. There are other reasons too. Trump has warned of retribution against his political opponents if he wins the election and a bloodbath if he loses, reminiscent of the attack on the Capitol Hill in 2020.

The foremost reason is the upcoming presidential election. Many pointed out that Trump’s divisive politics and his violent nature have disturbed many peace-loving people. His views on the LGBTIQA community, abortion and immigration have created fear in the minds of the people. Many also point out that Biden’s tenure has been lackluster and they aren’t interested in staying in the country if he were to return as the President of the US.
