The actress-turned-politician recently launched a vitriolic diatribe against the Paris Olympics organizers for featuring a performance in the opening ceremony that involved drag queens presenting a reinterpretation of Leonardo da Vinci's ‘The Last Supper.’
The multi-sport event, featuring 117 athletes representing India, kicked off in Paris on Friday evening with an extravagant opening ceremony lasting nearly four hours.
The organizers faced substantial backlash on social media for a drag performance involving 18 entertainers, including three prominent Drag Race France queens. The act, set against a backdrop of the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower, featured the performers striking poses behind a long table.
