logistics-as-a-service on the government-backed Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), touched one million transactions in June, ONDC said, on Friday.
This is an initiative bridging the demand gap for third-party logistics and the delivery of products across the network.
On-network logistics gives sellers real-time options to optimise costs and ensure timely deliveries. Currently, the on-network logistics-as-a-service is spread across all 28 states and seven union territories of India. The highest orders have been delivered to Karnataka followed by Delhi and Telangana.
The network is delivering more than 93% compliance to promised delivery timelines to customers. Ola, pidge, and Loadshare Networks have a high turnaround time adherence, ONDC said. Delhivery, shadowfax, and Loadshare Networks maintained a fill rate of more than 98% across months, it said. Fill rate is defined as the percentage of orders that are delivered, which is a measure of performance by a logistics supplier.
