Mumbai: BEST bus strike intensifies, commuters suffer with over 1,300 buses not leaving depot today

The protesting drivers complain that they have not received adequate salary hikes in the last three years, which has made it difficult for them to manage their household expenses.
The private drivers say their salaries are very low compared to those of BEST employees. Meanwhile, BEST has asked the private operators to resolve the issue quickly and even threatened to take necessary action against them as per the terms of the lease agreement.
