Mumbai's first underground metro to begin running from July 24: Key details
The 33.5 km line will run from Aarey Colony to Cuffe Parade and will have 27 stops. The new line is set to transform urban transit in Mumbai, making travel easier across the city's streets and cutting down traffic congestion, the post further said.
Mumbai is set for a transformative change in its transportation network with the launch of its first underground metro line in July.
The cost involved in Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC)'s ambitious project is Rs 37,000 crore. The completion of the entire project, including the second phase of the tunnel, is likely to take another few months.

Train timings: Key details
Service on this line will start at 6:30 am and continue till 11:00 pm. Commuters will be able to catch a train every few minutes. Trains will run at speeds of up to 90 km per hour.
As per estimates, a 35 km journey on the line will take 50 minutes. Travelling the same distance in Mumbai by road typically takes more than two hours.
