World’s Best Cities, Dubai retained its ranking among the top 10 cities, securing the sixth spot globally. In the midst of geo-political headwinds, trade protectionism, and supply chain disruptions, the UAE and Dubai have shown robust growth in economy, business and tourism.
The report further states that Dubai does particularly well in wealth and prosperity measures that include business infra, number of startups, corporate HQs and regulatory access.
Underpinning these rankings is Dubai’s innovative approach to economic growth, the partnership between the public and the private sector, and the number of forums that allow the exchange of ideas, networking, and aligning business with government vision.
One such example of a facilitating arena is the recently concluded Dubai Business Forum.
Aakanksha Tangri, Founder of Re:Set, shares her experience of attending events and initiatives for startups by the Dubai Chambers that culminated in the Dubai Business Forum 2023 as “integrating the macro and micro of entrepreneurship set in a global perspective with insights into opportunities, government vision and Dubai’s enabling environment.” The senior leadership at the forum also emphasised Dubai’s sandboxing approach, catalytic funds and attraction of talent through government policies that are spurring growth.
