In the Nifty index, Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), Trent Ltd.(up 1.71 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
