Donald Trump's current standing in the presidential contest. A CNN flash poll by SSRS indicates that 63% of registered voters who watched the debate on ABC News think that Harris won. This represents almost twice 37% as many voters as thought Trump had won.
According to the snap poll, voters felt that Harris had a good impact and that the Democrats understood them better after the debate. Following the debate, 40% of respondents supported Trump, while 44% felt Harris better understood the issues that everyday Americans were facing.

Following the debate, Harris's favorability rating increased as well; 45% of respondents said they thought favourably of her, up from 39% before the two candidates' appearance on stage. But in the wake of the debate, a sizable 44% of registered voters claimed to have a negative opinion of her. In contrast, voters' perceptions of Trump remained mostly unchanged, with 51% of them viewing him negatively and 39% favourably.
The results show a slight shift in favour of Harris from before the debate, and the average of national polls indicates that Harris is leading Trump by 2.8 points. Since late July, the vice president has been leading the former president in the polls; however, as of last week, Trump's percentage was edging ever-so-closer to that of his opponent.
