Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 9.60%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.85%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.52%), Coromandel International(up 0.63%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.62%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.61%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.48%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 0.45%), National Fertilizer(up 0.45%) and Agro Phos(up 0.29%) were among the top gainers. G S F C(down 4.18%), Madras Fertlizers(down 3.64%), KRISHANA(down 1.87%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.38%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.75%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.43%), Sikko Industries(down 0.18%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.08%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 57.0 points down at 19513.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 246.31 points at 65600.19 at around 10:09AM. Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 3.19%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.24%), SBI Life(up 1.14%), Coal India(up 1.11%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.94%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.92%), UPL Ltd(up 0.9%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.88%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.78%) and Tech Mahindra(up 0.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
