Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises
Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(up 4.16%), Gopal Snacks Ltd.(up 4.03%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 3.27%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.91%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(up 2.89%), Varun Beverages Ltd.(up 2.54%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(up 2.25%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.85%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 1.75%) and Honasa Consumer Ltd.(up 1.61%) stood among the top gainers.
Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 3.24%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.87%), Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 1.50%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(down 1.39%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.38%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.18%), Hindustan Foods Ltd.(down 1.11%), Marico Ltd.(down 1.09%), Gillette India Ltd.(down 0.87%) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.67%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 98.6 points at 23311.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 318.74 points at 77042.82.
HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 7.95%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 3.1%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.78%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.56%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.94%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.94%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.87%), State Bank of India(up 1.68%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.67%) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.54%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
