Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NMDC Ltd.(up 4.24%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(up 2.16%), MOIL Ltd.(up 1.51%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 1.27%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.26%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 0.88%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 0.84%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(up 0.64%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 0.61%) and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 0.18%) were among the top gainers.

Oriental Trimex Ltd.(down 2.71%), Pokarna Ltd.(down 0.79%) and The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 0.59%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 79.46 points at 23234.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 251.27 points at 76656.26 at around 10:45AM.
Wipro Ltd.(up 3.84%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.5%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.39%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.24%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.82%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 1.78%), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.62%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.57%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.39%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.36%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
