Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market falls
Lexus Granito(up 3.68%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.17%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.83%), 20 Microns(up 0.59%), MOIL(up 0.38%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.34%) and NMDC Ltd(up 0.23%) were among the top gainers. Pokarna(down 1.20%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.18%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.35%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 0.14%) and Coal India(down 0.04%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 143.85 points down at 19835.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 570.65 points at 67001.25 at around 10:14AM. Larsen & Toubro(up 2.66%), ITC(up 1.11%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.99%), State Bank of India(up 0.81%), Divis Laboratories(up 0.81%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.69%), Nestle India(up 0.54%), Britannia Industries(up 0.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.41%) and Adani Enterprises(up 0.34%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
