Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.33% in an upbeat market
Bharat Forge(up 1.37 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.33 per cent), Bajaj Auto(up 0.88 per cent), Tata Motors(up 0.57 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries(up 0.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 1.08 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.34 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.08 per cent) and Bosch(down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.33 per cent at 15525.8 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 20.7 points at 19326.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 39.62 points at 65036.22.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, JP Power, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea and Jio Financial Servic were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Gokaldas Export, A G Universal, Wonder Fibromats, Aristo Bio-Tech and All E Technologies hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Rajesh Exports, Accuracy Shipping, Rajnandini Metal and Shrenik hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
