Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.61%
Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International(up 2.04 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 0.42 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.29 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Bosch(down 1.97 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.91 per cent), TIINDIA(down 1.63 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 1.05 per cent) and MRF(down 0.95 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.61 per cent down at 15519.7. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 29.45 points at 19413.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 164.99 points at 65558.89.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red. Shares of Zomato, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Reliance Power and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Trigyn Tech, Ashoka Metcast, Tejas Networks, Kellton Tech and Refex Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Urban Enviro Waste, Ortel Communications, Lexus Granito(India), Vilin Bio Med Ltd. and Magson Retail & Dist hit their fresh 52-week lows.
