Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.12%
Shares of DLF(up 4.75 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 2.75 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.49 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.14 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 1.43 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, SOBHA(down 2.46 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.67 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.12 per cent up at 552.85. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 118.4 points at 19659.9, while the BSE Sensex stood down 440.38 points at 66266.82.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 ended in the green, while 33 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, PNB and YES Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
