Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market falls

Simbhaoli Sugars(up 1.84%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(up 1.50%), Sakthi Sugars(up 1.42%), Rana Sugars(up 1.26%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(up 1.24%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.12%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 1.11%), Shree Renuka Sugars(up 1.03%), AVADHSUGAR(up 1.03%) and EID Parry(up 0.85%) were among the top gainers. Mawana Sugars(down 3.29%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 0.38%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 0.31%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 0.20%), DCM Shriram Industries(down 0.19%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 0.16%) and Balrampur Chini Mills(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 66.7 points down at 19430.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 214.38 points at 65571.26 at around 11:22AM. Titan Company Ltd(up 2.56%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.45%), SBI Life(up 1.55%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.72%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.35%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.32%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.26%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.23%), Reliance Industries(up 0.2%) and Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.08%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
