Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.72% in an upbeat market
Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 1.77 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 1.56 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers. Macrotech Developers(down 2.92 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 1.24 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.93 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.79 per cent) and SOBHA(down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.72 per cent at 527.55 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 52.75 points at 19384.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 164.12 points at 65444.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, PNB, YES Bank, Easy Trip Planners and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
