Ongole cattle, native to Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, are known for their strength, heat resistance, and muscular structure. These qualities make them highly sought after for dairy and breeding. Brazil has invested in the breed’s development, leading to improved genetic quality and higher market value. Viatina-19, weighing 1,101 kg, exhibits these enhancements with a strong build, a prominent hump, and skin adapted to extreme temperatures.
Viatina-19 has not only set auction records but also earned global recognition. The cow won the «Miss South America» title at the Cow Champion of the World pageant. In 2023, it was officially listed in the Guinness World Records as the most expensive cow ever sold.
