Bradley Dawson, has been found guilty of killing his wife, Christe Chen Dawson, during their honeymoon in Fiji. The court concluded he acted with intent after analyzing evidence and testimony.
Bradley Dawson, aged 40, and Christe Chen, aged 36, were on their honeymoon in July 2022 at the Turtle Island Resort, an exclusive destination in Fiji. On July 9, Christe was found in her bungalow lying in a pool of blood with multiple injuries, including blunt force trauma to the head. The injuries were so severe that her body could not be flown back to the United States, leading her family to cremate her remains in Fiji and return them to Memphis.
Bradley Dawson claimed his wife’s death was an accident, pleading not guilty to murder charges. However, prosecutors presented substantial evidence contradicting his claim. Justice Riyaz Hamza of Fiji's High Court stated that Dawson’s defense could not be believed and rejected his version of events. The court ruled that the prosecution provided credible and reliable evidence proving Dawson's guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
