ABC News is all set to host the second US Presidential Debate on September 10. In a matter of nine weeks, the two candidates are expected to have a second face-off. David Muir and Linsey Davis will host the debate and the rules to participate in the debate have been confirmed. The location of the debate is yet to be confirmed. There are also reports that the two Vice-Presidential nominees will also have a debate soon. Many questions have also been raised if Biden will participate in the debate as many Democrats are calling for his replacement on the ballot box.
The rules to participate in the debate will be similar to the first presidential debate. Firstly, the candidates will have to secure at least 15% of the total votes in four separate national polls. Secondly, they have to appear on enough state ballots to reach the required threshold of 270 votes. Lastly, the candidates will have to agree with the prescribed rules and format of the debate rules fixed by the channel. These rules are yet to be notified by the channel.
