The company has been fixing issues related to its safety and has nothing new to offer except its 737 Max aircraft. Its European counterpart Airbus on the other hand is unveiling its new long-range aircraft which is expected to encourage airlines to operate non-stop flights on various long duration routes. The airline industry has taken a keen interest on the A-321 XLR aircraft. This international air show is one of the aviation sector’s most attended events.
This is a single aisle aircraft which is yet to be certified by the authorities. This is the longest aircraft in Airbus’ A-321 Neo Family. Airbus said that the aircraft is equipped to deal with long distance flights. There is an extra rear center fuel tank which will help the aircraft fly up to 5400 miles non-stop. This means that the aircraft can be airborne for a period of 11 hours.
