The HMPV virus in China is quite similar to Influenza A, and carries symptoms like cough, cold, fever and other flu-like behavior. A runny nose or nasal congestion, coupled with a sore throat and fever are some of the key predictors of HMPV virus, and they can typically stay in the human body for a period of at least five days.
Within the stipulated period of the virus rampage within the human body, it can also spread to others if necessary precautions are not taken. Moreover, it is the flu season as of now, and there are high chances that the virus could linger on within the body for days, and become dormant until it passes onto another human body and flares up again. This is one of the biggest concerns as of now, believe medical experts.
The HMPV virus in China has very similar symptoms to the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms. It has major chances of affecting children and infants, who have a relatively weaker immune system.
