Delhi, a 21-year-old shop worker died after he was mercilessly stabbed 17 times by a man who sought the return of a Rs 3,000 loan. As per a ToI report, the gruesome murder took place merely a stone's throw away from a local police station at approximately 7 am on Wednesday. Shockingly, the murderous assault was captured by an onlooker on their mobile phone.
A passer-by videotaped the vicious attack on his phone as the accused, Shahrukh, repeatedly knifed Yusuf Ali, who was laying bleeding on the street. The viral two-minute video included people standing and watching. Yusuf collapsed after grasping Shahrukh's neck with his legs in a last-ditch bid to rescue himself.
Later, some bystanders beat up and injured Shahrukh. Both Yusuf and Shahrukh were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Yusuf was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, Shahrukh, now under police custody, is receiving medical treatment for his injuries.
Yusuf's father, Shahid, recounted to the police that his son had been subjected to threats by Shahrukh over a financial dispute in the preceding 3-4 days. Investigations have revealed that Yusuf had borrowed the sum about a month and a half prior to the tragic incident. A heated altercation over the loan transpired between Yusuf and Shahrukh during the period of Muharram.
