Chadha began by emphasising that economy class, once regarded as an affordable option for the average traveller, is no longer economically viable. Quoting his own experience, Chadha pointed out that airfares for domestic flights have reached unreasonably high levels. «Economy class is no longer economical. Before coming to the debate in this house today, I was checking flight rates on my phone. If I have to travel from Delhi to Mumbai tomorrow, the ticket costs 14,000 rupees. The cheapest one-way ticket from Delhi to Patna is 12,000 rupees, and from Delhi to Bangalore, it’s 16,000 rupees,» Chadha said. He added, «And forget that, just the day before yesterday, I travelled from my region Punjab to Delhi. I took a flight from Mohali Airport to Chandigarh Airport and reached Delhi. The ticket for that flight was 14,500 rupees.»

Shiv Sena leader Deepak Kesarkar has said the Maharashtra assembly polls were recently fought under the leadership of Eknath Shinde and it is up to the BJP's central leadership to decide how to maintain his stature. Bank of America has picked up more than 160,000 sq ft office space in a commercial complex in Mumbai’s Powai locality through a long-term lease of 12 years, with provisions for future scalability to accommodate growth, said people with direct knowledge of the development. Bank of America will be paying rentals of over Rs 350 crore for this new office spread across three floors. As per the agreement, it holds an option to pick up additional 1 lakh sq ft spanning two floors taking the total size of the deal to 250,000 sq ft and rental payout to Rs 600 crore. The investment bank has entered into the lease agreement with K Raheja Corp’s Chalet Hotels for this office space at Cignus Powai through its subsidiary BA Continuum India.
