Social media platforms and ticketing forums have been flooded with listings from fans struggling with the financial burden of attending the concerts. Skyrocketing airfares, limited affordable train tickets, and steep hotel rates in Mumbai and Ahmedabad are driving many to reconsider their plans.
A report by The Times of India highlighted the drastic increase in travel expenses. A round trip from Bengaluru to Mumbai currently costs approximately Rs 28,000. Meanwhile, for the Ahmedabad concerts on January 25 and 26, the cost rises to Rs 35,000. Fans are also grappling with inflated accommodation prices, with basic hotel rooms costing upwards of Rs 4,000 per night.
Shaanya Sharma, a techie from Bellandur, shared her frustration, saying, «The flight tickets are insanely expensive. A round trip to Mumbai costs almost 10 times the concert ticket. Forget about traveling; finding accommodation is a nightmare. If you're lucky to get a room, it’s priced as high as Rs 4,000 a night.»
