U.S. election approaches, President Joe Biden has been attempting to support Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail, but his efforts have reportedly been met with repeated snubs from her campaign. According to Axios, Harris' team has not scheduled any joint appearances, leading some to speculate about the dynamics between the two leaders. Biden, at 81, has made several campaign stops, including events in Philadelphia, New Hampshire, and Pittsburgh, while Harris, 60, has not appeared alongside him.
One insider noted that Biden's presence reminds voters of the previous administration, making it difficult for Harris to embrace his support fully. Despite this, the White House has stated that they remain in close communication with Harris' campaign to determine how Biden can assist. The friction comes at a crucial time, as polls indicate Biden’s approval rating is struggling, sitting at 40.8% approval and 56.6% disapproval, according to RealClearPolitics.
