National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) International — a subsidiary of the nodal skill development agency on Thursday launched Bharat Innovation Global Private Limited (BIG) initiative in collaboration with edtech startup PhysicsWallah. The programme aims to develop India into a global education hub.
The initiative will focuses on bridging the gap between education and employability through flexible, technology-driven learning pathways, a statement from the edtech read, adding that it will integrate AI-driven career guidance, gamification, adaptive learning tools, and secure Learning Management System (LMS) platforms for individuals.
BIG will provide skill training to students in grades 11 and 12 in schools, PhysicsWallah said. “This approach extends to Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and Polytechnic learners, university students, and working professionals, fostering learning across ages,” the startup added. The programme will also include capacity building for government sector employees.

Our partnership with NSDCI through BIG is a step towards making the educational landscape more inclusive.”
The startup explained that the partnership is in alignment with recent developments of UGC guidelines permitting courses online and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on flexibility in education.
