Ben Davis joined RBC to head up its European metals & mining research team earlier this week. Davis came from Liberum Capital — now known as Panmure Liberum — an independent London-based investment bank where he spent over 12 years as a European mining analyst.
Panmure Liberum, which was born of a merger between brokerage Panmure Gordon and rival Liberum earlier this year, also announced a significant headcount reduction across the combined entity just a few months after the merger.
