In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 4.28 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.21 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.52 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.07 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) were among the top gainers.
