The NSE Nifty index ended the session 80.41 points up at 24274.9, while BSE Sensex 230.02 points to 80234.08.
In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 11.50 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 6.30 per cent), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 3.18 per cent), Trent Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
