The NSE Nifty index ended the session 320.1 points down at 23024.65, while BSE Sensex 1235.08 points to 75838.36.
In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 0.70 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
