Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.16% in a weak market
ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bank of Baroda(down 1.38 per cent), Federal Bank Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(down 0.89 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.16 per cent at 43652.15 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 72.1 points at 19470.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 190.94 points at 65206.68.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Suzlon Energy and IRB Infra Dev.
were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Macpower CNC Machine, CreditAccess Grameen, BSE, Ipca Labs and Zodiac Energy hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gangotri Text, Shree Ram Proteins, Digjam L, Diamines Chem and Tarsons Products hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
