Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.17% in a weak market

Wipro Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.52 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Coforge Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.17 per cent at 42659.55 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 17.1 points at 25040.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 70.41 points at 81749.71.
