Kamala Harris is yet to be officially nominated for the US Presidential Election 2024 but has found herself at the center of not one, but many controversies. She has launched the process of selecting her running mate so that she could introduce him at the Democratic National Convention next month and get it ratified if she gets the ticket for the highest office. But one of the persons, she is vetting for the office, Josh Shapiro, has been accused of being involved in a sexual harassment scandal, reports 'Daily Beast'. The Democratic governor of Pennsylvania has topped lists of potential running mates for the Democratic nominee-apparent.

Erin McClelland took to social media platform X to accuse Shapiro of covering up a sexual harassment incident and hinted at gender bias. She wrote that she wants a vice president candidate, who is secure enough to be second under a woman, is content to be VP & won't undermine the President to maneuver his election & doesn't sweep sexual harassment under the rug. She backed North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper to be Harris’ pick for vice president. She added she wants someone who can speak to rural voters.
Talking to 'New York Post', McClelland said Kamala Harris should “think very strongly about the difficulties that some women experience being in a top-level” and ensure that she has men around her who would be “satisfied with being second, third or answering to a woman.
